- Stork Food Systems and Marel Food Systems share similar customers at similar locations. Do you see a more synergistic approach to selling to and servicing the customer base more efficiently?
For the foreseeable future, Stork Food Systems and Marel Food Systems will continue to operate independently as before, while continuing to cooperate on a project basis and on product development. Where possible, we will leverage the synergy to achieve a more efficient servicing of our customer base.
- Now that the two companies have merged, where do you see the greatest opportunity for growth and profitability?
The strength of the two joined companies lies in the combined portfolio of products and a shared dedication to innovation. In order to compete in today’s market, you need size, constant innovation and a global presence. By joining forces, we will now have the critical mass to enter emerging markets and be better placed to provide comprehensive services to large international clients.
- Will there be major changes in operation and organization?
Not for the time being. The companies will continue to operate as before, but we will analyze all opportunities to improve our performance.
- We have only done business with one of your companies. Will we be able to continue doing so?
You are free to continue to do business with either of us as you did before.
- What will change in the market approach?
There are no changes planned for the foreseeable future but there is always room for improvement.
- Who should we approach in the future? The Marel representative or our current Stork contact?
You can continue to deal with your current contact person but, overall, the sales distribution system will be strengthened, not least in emerging markets.
